Meet Erica
With over a decade of experience as a teacher, tutor, and college coach in New Jersey, I am dedicated to making learning both effective and enjoyable for students of all ages. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism and Media Studies and a Master of Education, both from Rutgers University. I’m also certified to teach English Language Arts K-12 and work with students with disabilities, and I have specialized training in Advanced Placement instruction.
My passion for teaching comes from a genuine commitment to helping students reach their potential. Whether your child needs help building strong essay writing skills, mastering tricky grammar concepts, or analyzing complex texts, I focus on making each session engaging and approachable. Alongside these academic skills, I also offer specialized guidance on the college application process—from crafting impactful essays that reflect each student’s unique story to preparing for the SAT and ACT with targeted strategies.
For parents, I know how important it is to find a tutor who balances academic expertise with a supportive, motivating approach. My teaching is flexible and I stay updated on current educational tools and college admissions trends to give students the necessary skills. My approach combines individualized coaching with modern tech, ensuring each student is equipped to succeed.
My dedication to students’ success has shown in the results I’ve helped them achieve. Whether it’s raising AP course pass rates through personalized curriculum design or boosting students’ writing confidence, I’m driven by the goal of sparking growth through interactive lessons, collaborative projects, and real-world connections.
If you’re looking for someone to guide your child on their academic and college journey, I’m here to make that process smooth, engaging, and impactful. Together, we can work toward achieving their goals and setting them up for success.
